day 1: INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT

Departure from Milan or Paris Antananarivo with final destination. Welcome at the airport and transfer to the hotel ROYAL PALISSANDRE or similar. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

2nd day: ANTANANARIVO - ANTSIRABE - MIANDRIVAZO

After a good breakfast, departure on the road linking Antananarivo to Tulear in the Mozambique Channel. The road passes through scenery of rice paddies, embedded in hills, in addition to the typical red soil characteristic villages that surround the "hauts plateaux" (the Highlands). We stop in Ambatolampy, extraordinarily fragrant flavours of spices: eucalyptus, pines, giant cypresses, filaos. Antsirabe is situated in a fertile plain surrounded by high mountains with an average altitude of 2,500 metres, in a recently extinct volcanic area. Antsirabe is a famous spa and is called "the city of water". And became an important city, renowned for its culture of fresh products and carbonated mineral water called "visy gasy". The city is completely surrounded by hills alternating with green paddy fields. Rice is grown in small square spaces called "tanin-ketsa" where are sown and treated cultures. The harvest is finally cleaned from dust and skinned exclusively by women. The main street of the city is a melange of colours, scents and commercial activity of any kind. Picnic lunch. Continue West to discover the magic of cutters, embroidery «Richelieu» tablecloths and curtains Wicker objects. Continuation towards Miandrivazo road located in the heart of a Valley surrounded by the Bongolava in the East, and West of Bemaraha plateau. Arrival in the afternoon, accommodations at hotel LAKANA MIANDRIVAZO or similar. Dinner and night at hotel.

3rd day: MIANDRIVAZO - GORGES of BEMARAHA

After breakfast, transfer to the pier of Masiakampy, and departure for river navigation with a typical local transport boat. Crossing the plains of Betsiriry. Lunch on board. In the early afternoon, exploration of the gorges and meeting with the first lemurs. The convoy leaves lazily carry by the current of the River until it chose to spend the night. Dinner and night bivouacking on the river.

day 4: GORGES of BEMARAHA TSARAOTANA

Continuation of fluvial descent shortly after breakfast (around 9.00am) passing through small and picturesque fishing villages. Mid-morning we descend from the boat for a short 30-minute walk that will take us to a beautiful waterfall and its unique natural pool. Before noon departure through large rock cliffs that characterize the village of Berevo. Arrival at the shelter that is prepared by our carriers on a sandbar. Magnificent landscapes and discover the flora and fauna of the region and to the rich and explosive nature that overlooks the banks of this river. Dinner and night bivouacking on the shore of the River.

5th day: TSARAOTANA - TSIMAFANA - BEKOPAKA

Early wake-up and continuation of the the descent. We discover the first baobabs lapping the shores of the River. Arrival before noon and lunch on board. Landing at around 1.00pm to Tsimafana and transfer to Belo Tsiribihina, located on the opposite side of the Tsiribihina River. In this city, considered sacred, are kept the relics of the greatest King of the Menabe region of Sakalava, it is here that is celebrated every five years the ritual ceremony of Fitampoha or "bath of Royal relics". Continuation of the path towards Bekopaka with crossing of Tsiribihina. Walk through enchanting landscapes rich in nature and colours to finally reach the camp of Bekopaka. Bivouac and night around the fire to the tent Camp Crocus or similar.

6th day: PARC NATIONAL DE BEMARAHA

Breakfast and departure to visit the National Park of the Tsingy de Bemaraha: the reserve is situated on the plateau of Bemaraha North of Bekopaka and Manambolo River. Covers an area of approximately 152 000 hectares a fauna and a flora unique in its kind. Site absolutely unusual formed by limestone peaks of 30 meters in height and classified by Unesco, this plateau is a geological site-wide reputed to be the only of its kind with its stone statues from grey blue that soar skyward. Picnic and continuation of the visit of the Park to discover rare lemurs as the Sifaka varieties or "Verreaux Sifaka Deckeni" and a multitude of colourful birds. Dinner and night at hotel ORCHIDEE DE BEMARAH.

7 ° DAY : BEKOPAKA > MORONADAVA

Breakfast, departure for Morondava, after a few hours, crossing of the Baobab road before reaching the town, capital of Menabe region, important maritime centre.
The local ethnic groups are the Sakalava and the Vezo, Indo-Pakistani group marked by the Great Mosque dominating the city. Dinner and night at hotel Le Baobab Café or similar.

8° DAY : MORONADAVA > ANTANANARIVO > NOSY BE
